What you’ll cover
Pre-loved fashion reselling (Vinted and eBay)
Choosing products, researching demand, assessing condition, photography, listings, pricing, buyer enquiries, packing, returns, platform rules, and tracking revenue against costs. Commercial resale must comply with platform policies.
Wholesale sourcing and vintage stock
Finding and vetting UK wholesalers, clothing grades, cost per item, inspecting stock, repairs and upcycling, slow-moving stock, and margins. No bundle is guaranteed to be profitable.
eBay dropshipping
How the model works, private versus business selling, product research, supplier due diligence, listings, shipping, returns and profit calculations. Includes eBay’s restrictions on retail-arbitrage dropshipping and why compliant wholesale arrangements matter.
Shopify and online store development
Setup, domains, themes, product pages, basic SEO, payments, shipping and returns settings, and running costs. Shopify provides store infrastructure, not customers.
UK suppliers and private label
Researching wholesalers, fulfilment models, dropshipping versus bulk buying, minimum orders, packaging and quality control. Regulated categories (supplements, food, cosmetics, some wellness products) need extra compliance checks; supplier certification does not automatically allow relabelling or resale.
Mini China importation
Supplier research, sourcing agents, quotations, samples, air and sea freight, customs, import VAT and duties, product compliance, and calculating landed costs.
Pop-up selling and SumUp
Finding events, choosing stock, pricing, merchandising, taking payments with SumUp, stock tracking and event cost calculations, with the founder’s two-day pop-up as an optional case study.
Building a business around motherhood
Choosing a realistic model, working around school schedules, batching tasks, budgeting, repeatable workflows and avoiding overcommitment. Realistic planning, not guaranteed flexibility or passive income.
